Trend Makeup Analysis

For Autumn/ Winter 2014/15 there are a few different styles that have occured. These were often seen in extreme in the fashion weeks (London, New York, Milan, Paris) and therefore will be seen in moderation in everyday fashion.

Off Colour
- Glowing skin and minimal makeup with some touches of colour
- Texture selection: Metallic, radiant
- Staining around the eyes, natural placement

I interpreted off colour as more earthy tones such as browns, taupes, rusts, khaki, berry, plums and purples. I think it is more subtle makeup that is often matte but with dewy skin and warm tones on the eyes.

30 - wash of warm brown on eyes and berry lips

31 - fresh dewy skin, plum lips

32 - Minimal eyes, plum, shiny lips.
Streamlined

- Different strengths to make eyes look wider
- An architectural liner frames
- Sites between glamour and grunge

I interpreted this look as very extreme, heavy liner usually done with liquid or gel. The makeup would be inimal apart from this although sometimes include bold blocks of colour. Lines could be abstract and follow different placements.

33 - mini skin makeup, very heavy liner

34 - angled liner

35 - nude makeup, bold angular lines around eyes.
On Reflection

-shiny and glossy
- stained lips and eyes
- makeup focused on the skin
- everything soft

I interpret this look as a very soft focus look. The skin needs to be very natural and dewy, just lightly perfected by makeup. Eyes have metallic colours on and lips glossy.

36 - dewy skin and glossy lips
37 - dewy skin and wash of metallic on eyes
38 - metallic golds on eyes.
Unprocessed

- skins own shade to embrace authenticity
- makeup is called real not natural
- glossy natural textures

I interpreted this look as a modern no-makeup makeup with simple skin, lightly stained eyes and lips and all colours being the same as the natural ones in the skin.

39 - soft rosy real look

40 - stained lips, natural skin

41 - un-groomed eyebrows, real look
