New Silicone Chin

To check whether the new chin piece was okay an worked well in silicone I applied a practice one to my model. Unfortunately when I was demoulding this one the cap plastic wrinkled and stuck into place so there is a wrinkle that couldn't be removed at the top. If that happened in my chin for my assessment I would make a new one however as I was checking the fit I used it anyway.

Overall I was relatively happy with this appliance however it did get applied slightly wonky causing the whole piece to be tilted and it to look unnatural. As the chin is just a plain oval I find it diffiult to know where the top and middle is exactly so to correct this for my summative assessment I may draw a small marker on the inside of the piece to help my apply it. However I was much happier with the cap plastic edge as it some places it blended in seamlessly with the skin and looked undectable. I need to imporve upon holding the piece taught all the way around so that I get no wrinkles, I think I need to take much more time applying this chin in the assessment to apply it just right without rushing. Altogether I'm much happier with this piece than my original one and I think it will work a lot better and look a lot more natural for my final makeup.
