One of the first things I did after my formative assessment was re-sculpt my chin closed mold. I wanted to make it a lot smaller and just an extension of the end of the chin, not the entire jawline. I also wanted to put the flashing further back so I would have more of a bleeding edge to work with which would hopefully make the prosthetic sit a lot better. I also wanted to make the touch downs a lot bigger and the grounding much more smooth and even so overall I would come out with a better prosthetic that would work a lot better when cast.
Overall I was a lot happier with how this chin sculpt looked than compared to my first one. It was a lot smoother and neater and my grouting and touch downs were both better as well. I think I rushed my first sculpt which caused the need for a new sculpt, therefore I know for next time that the sculpting and casting process is very important to how the prosthetic turns out and the whole prosthetic can be ruined by these original stages. Hopefully this new chin will work a lot better.
